• Who should “groove”?
Anyone over 18 years old.  Groove is designed for adults at all fitness levels.  However, before
starting any fitness program, one should consult their physician, and receive their approval
before engaging in this or any other physical exercise program.

  • Why should you "groove"?
According to the U.S. Surgeon General's Report on Physical Activity and Health, becoming
moderately active (acquiring at least 30 minutes on most, if not all days of the week), Americans
can lower their risk of premature death, and the development of chronic illnesses, such as heart
disease, hypertension, and diabetes.  Also, to gain aerobic endurance, it is recommended by the
American College of Sports and Medicine adults should exercise at least 20 minutes, 3-5 times
per week.  With Groove workouts you can experience these health benefits, lose weight, have
    increased energy, and have fun!

  • Who is your “Ultimate Groove” Instructor/Trainer?
Your instructor/trainer is Ms. Chelsea L. Calhoun.  She has been dancing for over 25 years.
Her portfolio includes: ballet, tap, hip-hop, African, Latin, modern, jazz, and her favorite social
activity, hand-dancing.  You will find the dance moves in Groove's workout are inspired by these
dance styles along with others.  She is an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA)
certified group exercise instructor, National Academy of Sports and Medicine (NASM) certified
personal trainer, and certified in adult-CPR/AED.  Read more.

  • What is the format of a Groove Training session?  How is it different from a workout?
The format of a training session is customized to meet your specific needs and goals.  It is

cardio, strength and flexibility training exercises, and a cool down.  The total time for a training
session is sixty (60) minutes.  How the time is divided between the various activities depends on
